Tonight, July 5, the Washington Nationals will wear uniforms from 1924 when they host "Turn-Back-The-Clock" with the New York Giants in Washington, D.C. What is so special about 1924? The Washington Senators, predecessors to the current team and also called the Nationals, faced off against the Giants in the 1924 World Series and won. In the audience during that series was First Lady Grace Coolidge , who was known as the "First Lady of Baseball" for her avid support of the game, not only following the World Series but present at opening days and ordinary games.
By the way, the concession prices at tonight's game will be rolled back so if you purchase a hot dog, popcorn or peanuts at 2012 prices you will get a second of the same item for just five cents.
