First Lady Michelle Obama has been nominated for a Grammy award in the Best Spoken Word Album category for the audio version of her book American Grown: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens. The First Lady faces competition from former president Bill Clinton, who was nominated in the same category for the audio rendition of his book: Back to Work: Why We Need Smart Government for a Strong Economy. Also nominated in the Best Spoken Word category are Rachel Maddow for Drift: The Unmooring of American Military Power, and Ellen DeGeneres for Seriously--I'm Kidding. President Obama won in the same category for his books Dreams of My Father and The Audacity of Hope. The Grammy awards will be broadcast on February 10, 2013.
